Finding target schools for FinancED workshops in your area can be challenging, and coordinating with these schools to host sessions might pose additional obstacles. To identify which schools would benefit most from FinancED workshops, you can start by looking at a list of Title 1 eligible schools, where students from low-income families make up at least 40 percent of the student body. These schools often have fewer opportunities for financial literacy and sustainability education compared to other institutions.
Once you’ve identified a school to volunteer at, you or your sponsor can reach out directly to the faculty to discuss hosting a workshop. If this approach proves difficult, don’t hesitate to contact us for assistance in setting up the first workshop, or consider partnering with other local non-profits focused on youth education.
